All of the major airfare search portals do not allow you to book a round trip flight with a return date of Dec 2010, because it is too far in the future. Does anyone know of a CHEAP way to book a flight with a return date so far in advance

Is it worth searching for airfare in sites like expedia or travelocity instead of going directly to the airlines?
I’m searching for a round-trip from SJU to JFK (12/19-12/22) and I’ve seen them cheaper through the airline (jetblue, AA, etc…)
