What’s the best Air Mileage reward Credit Card?
I know of Visa’s United Airlines card, are there any other ones out there that give pretty good air mileage rewards?
Well, American Express sounds nice, except for the fact that it isn’t accepted in many places
Jet Blue Card from American Express
* Get ready for takeoff. 5,000 Award Dollars, that’s 25 TrueBlue® points, with the first purchase on your Card1
* Earn Award Dollars out of the blue. One Award Dollar for virtually every dollar spent2
* Finally, an exchange rate that works in your favor. 200 Award Dollars = 1 TrueBlue Point and 100 TrueBlue points = one round trip flight
* Just relax and earn rewards faster. Double Award Dollars on entertainment, leisure, travel, and dining
* The annual fee is only $40.

They all seem to give good rewards but you can’t ever seem to use them. I suggest you pick an airline you want to fly on most.

One card I like is the American Express Blue Sky card because it earns you 1.33% back ($100 for every $7500 spent) on all your spending and its earnings can be used on any airline, any hotel, any vehicle renter, etc., without restrictions.
However, it’s difficult to say which one will be best for you. You can use this rewards calculator to see which rewards card will give you the most for your normal spending:

Note that the calculator converts all earning currencies (frequent flyer miles, points, cash back) to dollars for easy apples-to-apples comparison.
(Oh, also there’s an interesting deal mentioned on the left side of the page at that site — a free airline ticket or $250 in gift cards after your first purchase on the AmEx Gold card.)
